Executive Team

Coxon2015David R Coxon

David R. Coxon has over 40 years of banking experience. Starting as a paying and receiving teller he has held numerous positions in retail, commercial and administrative roles throughout his career. Over the last twenty five years his responsibilities have included Senior Lender, Chief Banking Officer, Chief Credit Officer and Chief Operating Officer. David joined Georgia Primary Bank in February 2012 as President and Chief Executive Officer.  David holds a BBA degree in accounting from Columbus State University and a master’s in Organizational Leadership and Management from Mercer University.

David strongly supports community banking in the financial system because it remains the closest to serving the character of people and businesses. He believes banking is a people business never to be replaced by credit models and technology. The advances in services through technology has made the delivery of financial products and information easier for consumption and that is a positive in the fast pace of everyday life.

LeBow9325_8x10James E LeBow

James E. LeBow joined the bank as Chief Credit Officer in June, 2014 bringing with him nearly 35 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining Georgia Primary, James held executive management positions at two other metro Atlanta community banks. Most recently he served seven years as Chief Credit Officer at Touchmark National Bank. From 1980 to 2004, James held various positions within SunTrust Bank, including Director of Risk Management for the Financial Institutions Division from 2002 to 2004. Throughout his career James has been actively involved in development efforts at the Westminster Schools and with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. He is also a past board member of the Lando Land Company and is active in Northside United Methodist Church. James received his BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his MBA from Georgia State University. Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, and golf.

Skelton3431_8x10Jane Skelton

Jane Skelton joined the bank as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in November 2015. Jane has over 35 years of experience with financial institutions in the Atlanta market. In 2007, she joined Brookhaven Bank as Chief Financial Officer and remained in that capacity as the de novo bank grew and eventually sold to Georgia Commerce Bank in 2013. She served as Controller at Georgia Commerce Bank following the acquisition of Brookhaven and through the most recent merger of Georgia Commerce Bank into IBERIABANK in 2015. During her career in banking, Jane has served in a variety of finance and accounting positions. She has participated in start-up operations, as well as mergers and acquisitions, for community banks, national banks, and special purpose banks. Jane received a BS in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Masters of Professional Accountancy from Georgia State University. She graduated with honors from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jane holds a CPA license from the state of Georgia as well as membership in the Georgia Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.

 

Lending

Don BrownCraig Adler

Craig is Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager and has been with the bank since 2014. He originates new loan production, including commercial and business, commercial real estate and residential development. His previous experience includes special asset consulting, mezzanine and commercial real estate lending. Craig spent more than 17 years with a real estate investment company as a Principal and held various positions, including: commercial real estate loan originations, asset management and dispositions. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in accounting from SUNY Binghamton and received an MBA in finance from NYU. Outside the office, Craig enjoys swimming, biking and traveling; his bucket list includes stepping foot on to all seven continents.

Allyn HarrisAllyn Harris

Allyn is a Portfolio Manager and Assistant Vice President for the bank. He joined Georgia Primary Bank in March of 2016 and has over 3 years of banking experience. Allyn underwrites our commercial and consumer loans. Asked what he enjoys about his job at Georgia Primary Bank he answered, “I enjoy helping customers with their financial needs in order to achieve their goals.” Outside of the office he enjoys cooking, playing golf, hiking and basically anything outdoors.

Don BrownJackie S. Hart

Jackie Hart is Vice President of SBA (Small Business Association) Operations for Georgia Primary Bank. She joined us in February of 2017 and has over 24 years of banking experience. Jackie manages the SBA loan portfolio to ensure the loans are in compliance with SBA regulations. She also oversees the processing and closing of all SBA loans. When asked what she enjoys about her job at Georgia Primary Bank she answered, “I enjoy helping to make dreams come true for small businesses.” Outside of the office she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

Thomas Rockwood

Thomas Rockwood is Vice President and Head of SBA (Small Business Administration) Lending for Georgia Primary Bank. He joined us February 2017 and has more than 12 years of banking and government loan program experience. Thomas works closely with business owners to help them access loan programs provided by the U.S. Small Business Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. When asked what he enjoys about his job, Thomas said, “It’s exciting and fulfilling to be able to make a difference in the lives of a business owner, and ultimately their employees, by helping businesses grow and expand their operations.” Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his children’s sports teams, rock climbing, hiking and camping. A former climbing guide from Seattle, WA, Thomas is also an avid mountaineer.

Andrew (Drew) Walker, Jr.

Drew is Executive Vice President and Market President of North Fulton/Forsyth County. He joined Georgia Primary Bank in October of 2017 and will be responsible for lending and new business development. Drew graduated from Mercer University in Macon, GA with a B.A. in History. He is also a graduate of the Stonier National Graduate School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania. Drew is very active in both civic and community affairs and he has served in various board and committee level roles for the Community Bankers Association of Georgia. He has assumed leadership and participative roles in such community-based organizations as the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce and the Lanier Rotary Club. Outside of the office, Drew enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

 

Retail Banking

Jared C. JohnsonJared C. Johnson

Jared’s role for Georgia Primary Bank is that of Customer Service Representative. Joining us in May 2016, Jared has more than nine years of retail banking experience. He performs teller services—such as deposits and withdrawals, opens accounts and ensures our customers are well-taken care of. When asked what he enjoys about Georgia Primary, he answered, “The people with whom I now work are just all-around genuine people. They’re always willing to lend a hand if need be.” Outside the bank, he enjoys writing, mixology and spending time around the water.

Vasudha MistryVasudha Mistry

Vasudha is the Head Teller for the bank. She joined Georgia Primary Bank when the bank was founded in 2007 and has over 15 years of banking experience. Asked what she enjoys about her job at Georgia Primary Bank she answered, “Everyone is so nice, I feel like this is my second home.” Outside of the office she enjoys traveling and playing games.

 

David ThompsonDavid Thompson

David is our Branch Manager and Vice President for the bank. He joined Georgia Primary Bank in September of 2016 and has over 20 years of banking experience. David acquires new banking relationships and expands existing relationships all while providing exceptional service. He also manages the retail side of the bank. Asked what he enjoys about his job at Georgia Primary Bank he answered, “I truly enjoy coaching and developing teammates for the next steps in their careers. I personally measure my own success through the success of my teammates. I also enjoy understanding clients’ stories and developing solutions that match their needs.” Outside of the office he enjoys international travel, waking up at 4 AM to exercise before work and cooking.

Kim WhiteKim White

Kim is a Customer Service Representative for the bank. She joined Georgia Primary Bank in June of 2016 and has almost 6 years of banking experience. Kim processes all new account transactions and assists customers in finding the right account solutions to fit their financial needs. She also maintains all account types. Asked what she enjoys about her job at Georgia Primary Bank she answered, “I enjoy the people I work with, I am a very social person so I enjoy talking with and meeting new people. I also think banking is interesting because I deal with numbers which is something I never thought I would enjoy.” Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

 

Operations

Blake BrantleyJune Arnold

June is a Credit Analyst. She joined Georgia Primary Bank in November of 2017 and has over 7 years of banking experience. June analyzes financial information, prepares spreadsheets and writes analyses for existing loans and new requests. Asked what she enjoys about her job at Georgia Primary Bank she answered, “I enjoy math, I also like community banking because it is more intimate and I love how it feels like family.” Outside of the office she enjoys driving in the mountains, cosplay, comic books and visiting wineries.

Blake BrantleyBlake Brantley

Blake is Special Projects Manager for the bank. He joined Georgia Primary Bank in 2012 and has over 40 years of banking experience. Blake provides support to Credit Administration, Compliance, Loan Coding, Analysis and Reporting. Asked what he enjoys about his job at Georgia Primary Bank he answered, “For many years I enjoyed working with customers, now the focus is helping co-workers.” Outside of the office Blake enjoys his family, (especially his grandchildren), escaping to the beach as much as possible and getting together with friends.

Vickie CostopoulosVickie Costopoulos

Vickie is a Loan Documentation Specialist. She joined Georgia Primary Bank in June of 2016 and has over 20 years of banking experience. Vickie produces loan documents for our closings and renewals. Asked what she enjoys about her job at Georgia Primary Bank she answered, “I enjoy meeting different individuals and learning about their businesses as well as helping them achieve success.” Outside of the office she enjoys church activities, traveling and sports.

Dale R. EarnhartDale R. Earnhart

Dale is Vice President and Lending Assistant for Commercial and Consumer Loans. She joined Georgia Primary Bank in January of 2016 and has over 34 years of banking experience. Dale helps the lenders in all aspects of their jobs. Asked what she enjoys about her job at Georgia Primary Bank she answered, “The Customers.” Outside of the office she enjoys being with her family (children and grandchildren) and playing golf.

Tamara EnnisTamara Ennis

Tamara is Special Assets Administration/Loan Operations for the Bank. She joined Georgia Primary Bank in 2011 and has over 12 years of banking experience. Tamara manages and administers OREO Property, Building Inspections and Loan Administration for the bank. Asked what she enjoys about her job at Georgia Primary Bank she answered, “I have been able to move into many created positions over the years in Banking. I enjoy being able to fit between the cracks and take on the overflow, or new projects, instead of sticking with the routine.” Outside of the office she enjoys traveling, DIY home and yard projects and writing (currently writing a book!).

Mariela HoffmanMariela Hoffman

Mariela is a Banking Officer for Deposit Operations and Treasury Cash Management. She joined Georgia Primary Bank in December of 2008 and has over 11 years of banking experience. She helps our customers with their financial needs and provides a high-level of administrative support for the company and its top executives. Asked what she enjoys about her job at Georgia Primary Bank she answered, “I enjoy looking for answers and fulfilling my customer’s requests to the best of my abilities and in a timely fashion.” Outside of the office she enjoys volunteering at AWARE (Atlanta Wild Animal Rescue Effort) as a Wildlife Rehabilitator.

Sharon HustedtSharon Hustedt

Sharon is the Compliance Officer, Bank Security Act Officer and the Privacy Officer for the bank. She joined Georgia Primary Bank in October of 2008 and has over 30 years of banking experience. Sharon works to ensure the bank is in compliance with regulatory requirements and assists staff in implementing policies and procedures. Asked what she enjoys about her job at Georgia Primary Bank she answered, “I enjoy the challenges that present themselves in filling these positions.” Outside of the office she enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

Andy OdomAndy Odom

Andy is the Information Technology Officer and Assistant Vice President for the bank. He joined Georgia Primary Bank in August of 2016 and is responsible for managing all aspects of the bank’s IT network. When asked what he enjoys about his job at Georgia Primary Bank he answered, “I enjoy being able to make my coworker’s daily job functions a little easier with regard to technology.” Outside of the office he enjoys activities with friends, UGA football and being outside.

Peggy PettyPeggy Petty

Peggy is Assistant Vice President and Loan Operations. She joined Georgia Primary Bank in 2011 and has over 37 years of banking experience. Peggy manages our Loan Operation Department. Asked what she enjoys about her job at Georgia Primary Bank she answered, “The people I work with.” Outside of the office she enjoys reading, family and her yellow lab.

Kimberly Russo-AlesiKimberly Russo-Alesi

Kimberly is a Senior Vice President and the Controller for the bank. She joined Georgia Primary Bank in March of 2008 and has over 20 years of banking experience. Kimberly’s responsibilities include Accounting and Human Resources. Asked what she enjoys about her job at Georgia Primary Bank she answered, “I enjoy working with numbers.” Outside of the office she enjoys volunteering with her son through (YMSL) Young Men’s Service League, sitting on the board of YMSL and the Athletic Association at her local high school, reading, travelling and watching her son play Ice Hockey and Lacrosse.

Beth A. SzalaBeth A. Szala

Beth is the Assistant Vice President for Retail Banking and Treasury Cash Management. She joined Georgia Primary Bank in 2008 and has over 22 years of banking experience. Beth assists both personal and business customers with all of their deposit needs including opening and maintaining all accounts. She also assists in managing online banking, remote deposit, ACH, wire transfers and debit cards. Asked what she enjoys about her job at Georgia Primary Bank she answered, “I enjoy assisting customers while supporting deposit operations and project implementation.” Outside of the office she enjoys sports and traveling.

Pamela WilsonPamela Wilson

Pamela is a Credit Analyst and Assistant Vice President. She joined Georgia Primary Bank in September of 2016 and has over 5 years of banking experience. Pamela analyzes financial information, prepares spreadsheets and writes analyses for existing loans and new requests. When asked what she enjoys about her job at Georgia Primary Bank she answered, “I find the analysis of companies extremely interesting and feel that the bank’s role in helping a company reach its goal is important.” Outside of the office she enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
