GGL Business Development Officer

Position Summary:

    Qualified candidates will have 2-5 years of SBA specific experience in production of Small Business lending, with demonstrated success. Must demonstrate a strong understanding of the SOP, possess eligibility expertise, and a strong work ethic. Candidates must have strong working knowledge of the credit approval process and be able to gather and compile financial documents to submit for the credit package. Performs business development activities in approved sales territory. Collaborates with Georgia Primary Bank colleagues with the closing of deals and the implementation of banking services. Interacts with Bank colleagues to discuss prospects/referrals and formulate sales strategies.

Essential/Primary Job Functions:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a direct sales role required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in SBA environment required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) required
  • Excellent knowledge of Bank asset and liability products
  • Thorough understanding of banking services
  • General understanding of the commercial credit underwriting process
  • Previous underwriting experience is preferred
  • Basic analytical and financial analysis skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated sales skills

  • Proven ability to process and close a minimum of $8 million per year

  • Responsible for compliance with all regulations, laws, and bank policies and procedures that pertain to your day-to-day job responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of all compliance regulations pertinent to your assigned duties by successful completion of any courses assigned on a timely basis
  • Responsible for adherence to Georgia Primary Bank’s Code of Professional Ethics and Conduct as well as observing and promoting compliance with the Code among fellow bank personnel, customers and vendors

Education/Work Requirements:

  • Two years SBA or USDA experience preferred
  • College degree preferred
